Crypto gaming has grown from a niche product for offshore casinos into a distinct commercial layer spanning consumer operators, business-to-business (B2B) infrastructure vendors, and a fast-emerging adjacent category in prediction markets and GambleFi protocols.

Crypto gaming first emerged in the early days of cryptocurrency in 2012. The industry grew exponentially in 2017, and the model has been under direct pressure since late 2024.

Presently, two companies - Kalshi and Polymarket - define the current prediction market industry. The growth of crypto gaming has been extremely fast for prediction markets: the combined monthly volume across both platforms was under $5 billion in September 2025, and, by April 2026, it hit roughly $24 billion.

Our research found that the total gross gaming revenue for crypto-gaming venues, including prediction markets, is set to grow from $21.45 billion in 2026 to $40.28 billion in 2035; reflecting an increase of 87.8%. This is a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 7.3%.

About the Infographic

The chart highlights the regional distribution of total gross gaming revenue generated by crypto-gaming venues in 2035. North America records the highest revenue at $14.1 billion; making it the largest individual market shown.

The Far East & China follows, at $9.1 billion, while Indian Subcontinent generates $4.1 billion. These figures indicate that a significant proportion of crypto-gaming revenue is concentrated in a relatively small number of major regional markets.

Other regions contribute smaller, but still notable, amounts to overall revenue. Latin America accounts for $3.2 billion, while both Central & East Europe and the Rest of Asia Pacific generate $2.8 billion each. West Europe contributes $2.3 billion; followed by Africa & Middle East at $1.9 billion. The distribution demonstrates that crypto gaming has a broad geographical presence, although revenue levels vary considerably between regions.

North America’s continued market leadership is closely tied to the rapid institutionalisation of prediction markets in the region, particularly the rise of Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated event contract platforms, which have driven a structural shift toward crypto-integrated, event-based wagering. Prediction market venues in the region are continuously expanding distribution partnerships with established exchanges and brokers; further embedding crypto-powered event contracts into the mainstream. Juniper Research expects North America to dominate total gross gaming revenue over the forecasted period, capturing both retail and institutional flows.

Overall, the figures suggest that while crypto-gaming activity is distributed across multiple global markets, North America and Far East & China represent particularly significant revenue centres, with emerging contributions from regions such as Indian Subcontinent and Latin America.
