Fintech Insights: What the EU’s New AI Act Means for Regtech Vendors
In the EU, the Artificial Intelligence Act was first proposed in 2021. Currently not in force or adopted as of yet, this law is aimed at responding to the risks and problems linked to AI technology use, where in 2025 the EU Parliament will vote on the principles of the Act.
As of June 2024, The European Union revealed further developments on the new AI legislation’s proposed guidelines, which Juniper Research can use to analyse how these new developments will affect the future of vendors operating in the regtech space.
