Through its Privacy Sandbox project, Google has announced that it is extending the limit of data tracking to Android apps further to Chrome. Google plans to phase out cookies, used to track users’ browsing history, to create an ecosystem of targeted ads. Google has now announced that this will now be extended to apps over Google-owned Android mobile OS. However, these changes will not be implemented for two years.

Google is reportedly working with companies including Activision Blizzard, DoorDash, Duolingo and Snap to create this new ecosystem.
