Market Analysis: Embedded Finance Platform Finmid Raises $24.7 Million, Signifying the Era of B2B Embedded Finance as a Developing Market in Europe

April 2024
Fintech & Payments

Finmid is a German business providing embedded lending infrastructure to various marketplaces and platforms; allowing these businesses to offer tailored financial services to their respective clients. Since its founding in 2021, Finmid has been valued at $107 million, following its series A funding round of $24.7 million announced on 16th April 2024. The funding came from Blossom Capital, with participation from Earlybird Venture Capital.

Whilst the embedded finance and BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) markets in Europe are saturated with a myriad of companies offering solutions, Finmid is carving its place as an embedded lending and payment player to notice, with its focus on B2B solutions, especially those tailored for SMBs. The impact of this funding round, in addition to recent partnerships Finmid has formed in recent months, demonstrates that the demand for efficient B2B payment and lending solutions to those seen in B2C offerings is increasing; the result of years of market maturity and increasing regulatory proposals and implementations in the region.
