Telco Insights: Ericsson and Telstra Partner to Launch Programmable Network with 5G Advanced Capabilities
In February 2025, it was announced that Ericsson, a connectivity solutions provider, and Telstra, a telecommunications provider situated in Australia, have partnered to launch the first programmable network in Asia Pacific. This four-year deal will enable Telstra to upgrade its radio access network (RAN); utilising Ericsson’s next-generation Open RAN hardware solutions and 5G Advanced software.
