Positions Available with Juniper Research:

Business Development Executive

Base £28K. OTE £35K (Year 1)

Background
As a result of consistent year on year growth, Juniper Research is currently expanding its sales resources. To meet our growth targets, Juniper requires an energetic and confident Business Development Executive. You will be tasked with generating new business opportunities across Juniper’s product range.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced business development executive to provide support to senior professionals in generating demand and awareness of our products across their portfolio of target clients. You must thrive on hitting targets and developing new business opportunities. Key Resposibilities
Reporting to the SVP Sales-Europe, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving specific targets. The main responsibilities of this role include:
  • Create a qualified opportunity pipeline by developing new relationships and matching client needs with Juniper capabilities.
  • Work closely with the senior sales team to engage sales opportunities using a strategic and consultative approach.
  • Generate qualified sales leads /opportunities and achieve all specified key performance indicators.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, noting calls made per month, sales invoiced, pipeline development, monthly, quarterly, and end of year forecasts.
  • Strengthen the Juniper brand with defined client organisations and within the target industry sectors.
Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with a creative and innovative flair.
  • The ability to generate sales leads/opportunities via a proactive tele-sales approach.
  • Reporting accurate sales activity metrics when required.
  • Able to work autonomously in-line with the achievement of specific lead generation targets and KPIs.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to create high level meetings for supporting sales executives.
  • The ability to create demand and awareness of the Juniper brand and services.
  • High influencing skills, with a confident, proactive and methodical approach.
Experience
  • 2 years proven business to business services based sales /customer service experience would be an advantage.
  • 2 years proven experience of proactive/direct external client contact and exposure to a professional /fast paced business environment.
  • Previous experience in gathering business relevant information and generating client interest from a telesales approach.
  • A consultative manner and an understanding of business to business service sales process/structure.
  • Experience of consistently meeting targets.
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision makers, ranging from Directors and Heads of Departments through to C-level executives.
  • IT and web literate, with a minimum of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CRM experience would be an advantage but not essential.  
  • An interest in the financial, media and technology sectors would be an advantage but is not essential.

Lead Generation Specialist

Base £23K. OTE £30K (Year 1)

Background
As a result of consistent year on year growth, Juniper Research is currently expanding. In order to continue our growth Juniper requires an energetic and confident Lead Generation Specialist. You will be tasked with generating new business opportunities across Juniper’s product range.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an aspiring or an experienced lead generator. You must thrive on hitting targets and developing new business opportunities. Key Resposibilities
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving specific targets. The main responsibilities of this role include:
  1. Generating New Business Opportunities – Contact and develop new sales opportunities for senior sales staff. You will be expected to consistently hit and exceed targets, contacting leads by phone and email. You will be holding initial conversations to convert leads into viable new business opportunities.
  2. CRM Management & Reporting – Building and maintaining a full pipeline of leads and opportunities, for reporting and sales campaigns. You will provide weekly KPI reports from the CRM to the senior sales team, while ensuring your pipeline is kept up to date.  
  3. Team Goals – As a member of the Juniper team you will working with the Marketing and Analyst teams to achieve team and company goals. You will contribute to the annual sales plan and provide feedback to product and marketing reviews.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
To be a successful candidate you will have:
  • Experience of consistently meeting targets.
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision makers, ranging from Directors and Heads of Departments through to C-level executives.
  • IT and web literate, with a minimum of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Recruitment Process
Juniper Research operates a 3-stage recruitment process.
  1. Review and screening of CV’s & cover letters.
  2. Phone based interview of approx. 30 – 45minutes.
  3. Final interview and assessment of approx. 2.5hrs – 3hrs. This will be made up of tests, a face to face interview and PPT presentation.
If selected you will be given an initial 2-week induction course when starting your role, along with ongoing weekly sessions reviewing new product launches. We will expect new starts to be fully up and running after 6-8 weeks in the role.

Research Analyst

Background
Juniper is currently seeking a talented Research Analyst, with a good mix of research and numerical knowledge.
 
Based in Basingstoke, UK, this position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their research and analytical career in the growing mobile technology and digital services market. The ability to develop expertise and knowledge quickly will be key to this role, as the job holder will be required to make an early contribution to Juniper’s research offering.
 
As in most small organisations, staff need to remain flexible, and comfortable with adapting to the changing needs of the business. On the job training and support will be provided. Some travel may be required.
 
Reporting to a Senior Analyst.
 
The following details provide an indication of the type of work this role offers.

Main Objectives

  1. To research and develop strong subject matter expertise, and author high quality publications that provide insight and value to Juniper clients.
  2. To develop market sizing and forecasting models as required.
  3. To assist in the delivery of client consultancy projects, and eventually speak at industry conferences.
  4. To contribute to press articles, news and social media, conference and client presentations, press release and promotional activities as required.
  5. To undertake special projects as required by the business. 
Key Responsibilities
 The main responsibilities of this role will be:
  1. Research Reports. Author strategic market reports in a highly readable and contemporary format that provide insight and value to Juniper clients.
  2. Market Forecasting & Interpretation. Produce high value market forecasts that appeal to clients, providing insightful analysis and commentary.
  3. Marketing & Sales Support – Research, edit and present materials for publication and promotion. Liaise with clients and the media as required.
  4. Other – Contribute to team goals, consultancy projects and database development.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Ideal Background
  • Experience of writing analytical reports.
  • Knowledge of the telecoms, mobile or digital services market.
  • Experience of market sizing, forecasting or financial analysis.  
  • Degree or post-graduate qualification in a numerical, economic or business discipline.
 Personal Attributes
